Background for those who missed my first post: https://www.democraticunderground.com/100216207665
Anyway, daughter, SiL, and 14 y/o grandson made it home after their vacation from hell. SiL is a lot better, planning to return to work in a day or two. Daughter is still pretty sick, but not hospitalized. She has a co-morbid condition - seizure disorder. The way she describes her symptoms is that it felt like something was trying to suck out her life force! She's also fainted several times when she got out of bed. A big problem was dehydration from vomiting on the car ride home, which is now more under control. Omicron is no joke! Grandson is fine. No symptoms and his concussion is not bothering him. He's back in school.
The sad thing is my grandson's friend's grandpa. He is now on life support. His sister flew in from another state, basically to say her goodbyes.

(36,926 posts)expect we will get it. We're 73 and 80.
Today I was at a doctor's appt. and a couple sat on either side of me. Both took off their masks and started blowing their noses, loud! I moved away, but who knows if it was in enough time.

This is indeed nothing to mess with. I hope you stay healthy and avoid it. Keep wearing your masks!
