Donald Trump Is Not Going To Prison

Huff Post

He may be culpable for the Capitol riot on Jan. 6, but it's unlikely he'll face any real consequences.

If Donald Trump runs for president again in 2024, Robert Palmer, a 54-year-old Florida man, will still be in prison for assaulting U.S. Capitol Police officers during the Jan. 6 insurrection.

Palmer, who was sentenced to 63 months, has received the longest sentence of the more than 150 defendants who have pleaded guilty to charges stemming from the storming of the U.S. Capitol. He was just one of the hundreds of Trump supporters who rushed law enforcement in an attempt to overturn a free and fair election.

After losing to Democrat Joe Biden in November 2020, Trump spent weeks promoting the lie that the election was stolen from him, culminating in the attack the following January.

Trump incited the riot that left five people dead and dozens of law enforcement officers injured. But while countless people are facing consequences for what they did that day, Trump still hasn’t.

His comrades will not be held to account either.

And since when will he be barred from seeking public office? That required 2/3rds of Senators, and that vote came up around 10 short. Doubt anything will change that outcome, so he'll be perfectly able to run again in 2024 if he so chooses.

I've been saying this for years.

Not saying there shouldn't be an effort to go after anyone connected with them, when there is clear evidence of crimes committed.

Beat them with a wet noodle if nothing else was allowed.

We have another election coming up. Those culpable who should be afraid really, really, really need to be smarter this time. Maybe they're not concerned that their social media careers might come to an end, but they should be afraid to realize that their records needn't.

That's hardly all. I used to have 2 professional licenses but am retired, so I'm not afraid of being fired or that a RW regime might refuse to renew them. Others should be. It seems an obvious move. tRump is famously vengeful; some may not realize that harsh vindictiveness is typical of the entire hard right, including those likely to make up new ruling cabals in our areas.

Was the riot predictable?....5 deaths?
Was Obama's election predictable in the year 2000?

Think about this one about predictability...In a 60s show called, "Star Trek"..there were hand held computers and
communicators that were in the show.. Do you recall?...that was Sci Fi in the mid to late 60s.

Guess what?....(and I remember that being science fiction, yes I recall those devices on that show, and seeing them then)

Well..........it ain't science fiction any more...now, we have those things and they work well...

YOU GOT ONE?...DO YOU?...are you using it right now?...(I ain't).

...(.I am on a computer that I thought I would never have, in those days....long long ago_)

Repeat........NOTHING IS PREDICTABLE NOW..!!!!! ...{the good or the bad, or the ugly)..
