Over the past few months, Mr. Cuomo has reached out to friends and associates to sound them out about the political landscape, and some who have spoken with him came away with the impression that he is interested in finding a way back to relevance in public life.
He was especially focused on how the Albany County district attorney, David Soares, would proceed, according to people who have been in touch with his camp, and likely sees the decision to drop the case as significant.

(52,152 posts)and this is why the right thing was done here and not with Franken. There are very few people who aren't convinced that Cuomo is unfit for office after the NY AG investigation. We still have people who are convinced Franken was railroaded, others who have no idea if he was or wasn't, and others who find him unfit. Franken could make a comeback in all probability though he would be divisive. It took time, but we know what Cuomo did and to whom he did it.

I was never charged red with a crime isnt a defense if the reasoning was that the statute of limitations had passed and there hasnt been any new reason to believe that you didnt do what you were accused of doing

Never thought I'd feel that way. His dad gave one of the greatest convention speeches ever, 1984. The sons were a bitter pill.
