A senior Republican figure who was reviled here in the early 2000s now sounds reasonably compared to the looney-tunes that have overtaken the party.

Violent denial of the democratic process is a line too far for them, but they are still in favor of legislative denial of the democratic process.

There is no such thing as a good republican, just less vile ones, and temporarily useful ones.

One thing we can be certain of though, we'll never read anything like that about Donald Trump.

The reason the Republican Party doesn't recognize the threat is because the Republican Party is the threat.

Sure, he has spent much of his career trying to corrupt our institutions to serve his own ends, but it would be a culd day in hell before he'd sided with the insurrectionists who are sharpening their knives against his own flesh and blood.

This really doesn't surprise me.

Of your party, you’ve gone off the fucking deep end. But at least they’re standing up for country over party; the Constitution over fascists, seditionists and Russian Ruble-loving traitors.

but I had a long moment of hesitating over the Rec button. It reminded me of the time I sat next to Rep Pelosi on a flight from SFO to DCA. She was watching the seatback TV and would switch from MSNBC to CNN to Bloomberg. At one time, all three had adverts running, so she switched to Fux... but her finger had a very long moment of hesitating over the icon. I'm thinking "I soooo FEEL you gurrrrrl!" (this was at the time of Benghazi Benghazi Benghazi)

That being said, I have to rec when rec is due.

Cheney helped orchestrate both times W stole the election.

What did he think that did to the party? Did he think the corruption he spread throughout his party, the Federal government and the voting system would end with W? Does he justify his rigging of presidential elections as necessary? Does he think the feces smearing Trump humpers are beneath him?
