I knew about United since they're based in Chicago and those dismissals were prominently in the news.
A few big hospital groups have already done it too.
Also, in the article Citi is seeing a surge in the remaining 10%, because the specious reasons for not getting vaxxed are easily dismissed when compared to no paycheck.
Mandates work.
One more thing: the article mentions something about big companies liking Biden's mandate. The reason stated was what I believed all along. They didn't have to be the bad guy and demand employees be vaxxed because "the government tied their hands". They could legitimately claim they had no choice. That suggests these same big companies are likely quite against SCOTUS knocking the mandate down.
