Be Careful What You Wish For

We've all heard you Republicans talk about seceding from the US (aka the blue states) and - as is always the case with Republicans - it's obvious you haven't thought this through.

After it's been established which states will be designated as MAGAland (you can always change the name later), those wanting to be citizens thereof will have to relocate - at your own expense, because the GOP politicians you'll be taking with you (sorry, non-negotiable) don't believe in citizens getting "free stuff".

That also means that all US-gov't programs - from social security to food stamps - will no longer be available to those who have chosen not to be US citizens. But you can always rely on your GOP leaders to raise taxes on the corporations in MAGAland to fund similar programs - in the same way they did back in the Good Ol' USA, when they handed out tax-breaks to the corporations that funded their elections.

On the plus side, you'll be free to run your own school boards, and I'm sure your kids will be adequately educated using the books you've chosen not to burn. You can also ban all restrictions on guns - which means you'll have a lot less students to educate anyway.

There are some institutions you'll have to establish right away - like functioning hospitals. Assuming you'll be doing away with masks and vaccines in MAGAland, you're going to need a lot of medical personnel to deal with all of those people dying of a hoax.

You'll also be running your own elections - which will never actually result in anyone assuming office, because the 'election fraud' lawsuits, audits, and re-audits will be ongoing long past your lifetime.

And speaking of lawsuits, have you thought about the caliber of judges and lawyers who will be rushing to settle in MAGAland? Do you really want Sidney Powell and Rudy Giuliani on your Supreme Court - because it's gonna be slim pickin's among those with suspended licenses and the disbarred.

But think of the personal freedoms MAGAland will offer! The freedom to die of a botched illegal abortion, the freedom to worship as you choose (as long as your choice is worshiping Trump), the freedom to believe in Jewish Laser Beams from Space, the freedom to eat potentially fatal uninspected food, the freedom to vote at the one-voting-ballot-box-per-million-people voting station, and the freedom to declare 'facts' unConstitutional.

It all sounds so idyllic, doesn't it? It almost makes me want to support your idea of leaving the USA. The progress we could make without your participation (i.e. interference) is an incredible enticement.

However, the fact is that if you really want to secede from our United States, you'll have to come up with the money to buy land elsewhere - because the ground you're standing on is ours, and always will be.

I was in a DMV office pre-pandemic. Young MAGAt next to me struck up a conversation about "how great Russia is because they don't have to pay no damned taxes."

This kid (~20ish) was so skinny, I could only assume he was loaded with parasites from walking around this parasite-infested hellhole without shoes.

So I told him, "well I'm not sure if Russians have to pay taxes. If they don't it could be because they have no money & the govt owns everything. Hard to tell because their govt lies about everything constantly to try to appear as great as the United States & other Western countries.

"But one thing is certain: they have severe food shortages in Russia." Visible anxiety, likely his parasites squirming af the thought of starvation.

"Would you like to stand in line for hours with the hope of being able to buy a very overpriced loaf of bread? No meat - just bread - if you are lucky."

His discomfort increased noticably.

"But if you really think folks in Russia have a much better life than Americans, I'd like to help you out by offering a one-way ticket to you as soon as we each finish our business here."

He replied, visibly squirming, "No ma'am, but tyvm."

Of course I had no intention of buying him a ticket. Just wanted him to think about his ridiculous statement.

Unfortunately, it's on the same physical plane as ours where borders don't mean much in terms of global warming and environmental toxins.

As tempting as it sounds to have them migrate to the new nation state of Dumbfuckistan, our own best chance of survival is to hold our enemies close and win the political battles at hand.

I have done a modest amount of travel within these "kinda united states" and I have yet to see a single square foot I'd be willing to give up for these guys. However, if it comes down to it, there's about 15 acres in Fairview, Kentucky I wouldn't mind seeing repurposed.

It's the site of the Jefferson Davis "historic" monument.

If they'll just stand up straight and stay still, I calculate you can get almost half a million of those treasonous bastards on the property. There, they could proudly bear their arms and take their stand, forever as far as I care. The Trumps could hole up in the top of the monument where they would spit down onto all their followers, fulfilling their dreams in actual fact instead of mere intent. It would serve so many purposes, really, I mean, the monument would finally perform an actual service.

No more than they are for Vlad Putin. Most of the people of MAGAland won't care. Elections, voting, thinking about policy...that's all just too hard. Better to let their dear leaders take care of that for them, tell them what's right and wrong and what god thinks, while they shout...we're #1...ad nauseam. Sure, there will be political opposition to the ruling class, but that's easily managed. Just trump up charges (pun intended) and throw them in jail. If someone gets too far out of line, polonium tea is always a possibility. Since they're finally their own sovereign country, they can write their own legal system where rule of law is whatever the hell the ruling theocratic junta says it is.

At the same time, we'll be debating endlessly on whether to sanction them economically due to the latest human rights atrocities.

If any of our military suppliers deal with you they will be taken off our supplier list. Just pull yourselves up by your boot straps. Good by and good luck ya pukes.
Have fun with that low tax thing.
I think we should copy Sherman and burn all federal investments in the new repuke states.
On the up side you won't need any silly meat inspectors or FAA or FDA. You can inspect you own shit. Plus you will be able to build statues celebrating your party on 1/6.
