My latest: I Spent Insurrection Week Listening to Steve Bannon.
What I found: The 2020 election conspiracies that led to 1/6 are all-consuming. Avenging the steal is a religious crusade. Millions are listening. And mainstream GOP pols are playing along.

For three hours every day, the Republican coup plotters who inspired the domestic terror attack at the U.S. Capitol last year gather to discuss their next move. On their January 6th anniversary program, the Dead Cops Society beseeched their great patriotic listeners to Seize The Day. Were ashamed of nothing. Were proud of the work we did on January 6th.
Their scheming does not take place in caves in the Hindu Kush mountains. Nor in a vacated Florida flophouse with an acid-filled bathtub. In fact, it doesnt happen in secret at all.
You can find these enemies of democracy livestreaming across multiple platforms for your convenience. Dish channel 219. Samsung TV Plus Channel 1029. Roku. Apple TV. Pluto TV. Amazon Fire! You can livestream the proceedings on the web at AmericasVoice.com or catch clips on Rumble. Or listen through IHeartRadio.
If you are a regular working American who wants to overthrow the regime but cant sneak away from your day job, not to worry, Apple Podcasts is platforming daily mutiny discourse for your convenience 24/7. And as it turns out, Insurrection Radio does big numbers. Last I checked it was the #9 News Podcast in America on Apple. According to the hostsand these guys would never lie, obvithe show has gotten an eye-popping 125 million downloads.
Insurrection never paid so good.

(9,998 posts)Sometimes I think, that's the whole point.
I often wonder, why the fuck do we care? I feel like those of us on DU who see the signs all around, are the only ones who give a shit.
Honestly, I'm at the point of giving up. Accepting things for the way they are. It's obvious that so much of us are wasting our time, effort, energy and emotions on a lost cause. Whether it be accountability for SEDITION, or Gun Control, it always seems to go against what we're fighting for.
If my parents were not alive, I would seriously be looking for other countries to live in, because so far as I'm concerned, things are only going to continue getting worse and worse in America, and since I'm 55, I'd rather not live out my remaining years in a Shithole country, with a Fascist regime controlling the way things operate.

(53,764 posts)Seems Bannon's more about the money than any "cause." Kinda reminiscent of his rip-off of "build-the-wall" money.
