We need a court to officially declare or prove it was an insurrection. I think they will eventually, but not in time to kick the lil' Nazi off the ballot.

You and I can see what it was, but that's not good enough to kick someone off a ballot, or lock them up…and that's a good thing. No one should be convicted or barred based on personal observations; to be just (as RBG called it, sustainable), the case must be airtight, proven, and indisputable.
