"No shit" means something obvious is being stated/commented on and that was all the "heads up" I needed that inside I would find pertinent and timely commentary, whether verbal (text) or visual, on current events.
Thank you. I appreciate the "Noshit".

Slavery, gun rights, voting suppression and gerrymandering; the list goes on.
Our Constitution and Senate rules were set up in a way that protects the minority from being overwhelmed by majority rule. Mostly, though, it has resulted in minority political opinions stonewalling and precluding needed progress.

(7,263 posts)It and The Electoral College are the 2 mechanisms the Authoritarian 1% use to control Our Country.
We are NOT a real Democracy now, if so why do CapitalOne and other financial institutions focus their ad campaigns on the 1%?
Why do you see ads for high end cars and financial brokerages used by investors only the 1% can afford on blue collar football games?
What happened to the blue collar beer commercials and ads for Al's Used Car lot we used to see by the dozens?
Advertisers have said it is because today's demographics in the USA are more oligarchical then democratic. There are WAYYYYYYYY more blue collar folks watching - but the few 1% demographic watching is where the real profits are made.
Think about it.

(16,349 posts)And fuck Joe Manchin for deliberately trying to torpedo voting rights.
This is worse than even stopping BBB. Voting rights are sacred. They are ESSENTIAL in a democracy. Deliberately making it harder for certain kinds of people to vote than others is unethical and immoral, and giving state legislature (or ANY governmental entity) the power to override the will of the people is an outrage.
