Jamie Raskin Throws 'Benghazi' In Jim Jordan's Face
When Jordan "investigated" Benghazi, he demanded everyone testify, because nobody has the right to hide. Now that he's implicated in the insurrection? Not so much.

Rep Jamie Raskin used Jim Jordan's own words against him. It's about time we all did.

After saying he had "nothing to hide," the Ohio Republican Jordan has refused to cooperate with the House committee investigating the insurrection January 6.

J6 Committee Member Jamie Raskin joined MSNBC on Monday. He was asked his thoughts about Jordan's refusal.

Raskin said, "To answer Jim Jordan, I would quote Jim Jordan from the views that he expressed in the final Benghazi report, where he said that all of the truth must come out. Everybody needs to testify, and nobody's got the right to hide anything from Congress."

That seems to only apply to Democrats, right Gym?

Raskin continued, "So, I think he had it right then. Jim Jordan, more than anybody else, knows what dogged, aggressive investigation is about, even when he's on a wild goose chase, he demands all the information he wants, and we're not on that. We are on the central investigative mission certainly of this decade, if not this century, to get to the bottom of this terrible political crime that was incited and to a substantial extent organized by Donald Trump."

Jordan is one of the worst Congressmen ever. He ditched the U.S. Constitution and his constituents and swore allegiance to a narcissistic buffoon.

Jordan has information and is refusing to cooperate.

I think some Ohio voters should take a page from North Carolina voters who are objecting to Madison Cawthorn and demand Jordan be disqualified as a congressional candidate for his role in the insurrection and his refusal to come forward and testify.

In the Jim Jordan Republican silo, only Republicans are allowed to hide the facts and the truth.

but the embrace of fascism actually seems to be gaining momentum across our nation and worldwide. When at least half of the population does not accept what should be considered universal facts and truths, the future of our republic and democracy are in grave jeopardy!

You need the subjunctive form.

Where do you get “at least half” from? Can you please give us a link to that statistic?

But look at what happened in 1932, 1933, & beyond. It took 10 years, but the fascists regrouped & ultimately succeeded in talking over the country.
This is what we MUST stop from happening in America, fascism on our own soil MUST be defeated.

A relevant article:

While Hitler’s Beer Hall Putsch and Trump’s January 6 coup attempt bore a striking resemblance in terms of the size of the insurrections and the resulting violence, the most notable similarity is the nature of the lies that led to the buildup of political tensions: Hitler’s lies about Germany’s defeat in World War I and Trump’s lies about voter fraud driving his loss in the 2020 election. Both were big lies that undermined faith in government institutions and gained credibility from frequent repetition.

In their immediate post-coup lives, Hitler had a much more difficult time than Trump, thanks to less forgiving rulers. Germany’s post–World War I democratic government aggressively prosecuted Hitler and nine of his associates for treason within months of the 1923 coup attempt. He was sent to prison the next year, serving nine months before getting himself paroled. A key condition of Hitler’s parole was that he refrain from speaking in public for two years. The classic 1960 history, The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich, by William Shirer, explains Hitler’s challenge this way: “A silenced Hitler was a defeated Hitler, as ineffective as a handcuffed pugilist in a ring.”

Hitler, according to Shirer, remained single-minded in his determination to revive the Nazi Party, via a two-part strategy: “to attack and undermine the government” and to operate as “a state within a state.”

in social media….not at all real conversations….where 12 hour investigations, prosecutions, trials and then the hanging are the norm.

In the real world there is great optimism that justice will prevail….open your ears, shut out the crap on social media and plunge into the news of the real world…warning, it’s a bit of work.

No running, no hiding, no complaining. (Even though she had way more to complain about than Jordan, had she chosen to do so.)

That's how adults handle things like this. Adults who, unlike Jordan, do not have a closet full of guilty secrets.

Liars and guilty secret hiders do not handle this sort of thing so well.
