Apple Rumored To Be Selecting Suppliers For The 'APPLE CAR'

Appleworld Today

Apple is selecting suppliers for an “Apple Car,” the tech giant’s rumored electric (and possibly self-driving) vehicle, according to ETNews.

The article says Apple execs visited Korea last month to meet with companies. Selection will be completed by the end of the year with full-scale development starting soon thereafter, says ETNews.

On. Nov. 18, Bloomberg reported that Apple is accelerating development on its “Apple Car.” The article says the electric vehicle will be self-driving and could roll out in 2025.

What’s more, in a note to clients — as noted by AppleInsider — investment bank Wedbush says Apple is likely to announce a strategic electric vehicle partnership in 2022 to lay the groundwork for an “Apple Car” release in 2025.

for 5 years now. Nothing but rumors. Apple could do this if it had bought Tesla when it had the chance back in 2018, but that EV has departed.

A proprietary mechanical design with a sealed hood that can only be opened by technicians at the Apple Store.

A battery that slowly loses its ability to hold a charge over time, so that you have to buy a new Apple Car every two years.

42 Cameras, all of which must be re-aligned every six months at an Apple store.

A hidden Apple-only access feature that lets Apple disable your Apple Car if you miss a payment.

A proprietary key fob you need to drive the car that costs $9867 to replace if you lose it.

A windshield that is prone to stress cracking in extreme heat or cold.

A feature that only allows Apple cell phones to operate inside the car and requires Apple software to connect with your car.

A proprietary charging system that is incompatible with all existing electric vehicle chargers. There will be chargers at every Apple store. They should be good enough for anyone.

She just trashed her iPhone, which had a declining battery, and replaced it with a Samsung Android phone. She fell in love with it almost immediately. No more Apple products in this house.

Doesn’t crash as often as Car Play does.

To turn the car off, the driver must press the left door lock, then the right door lock, then hold the radio off button for three seconds until a swipe to turn off message appears on the windshield. The driver then must activate just one swipe of the windshield wiper to turn off the car. A second swipe will lead to a car restart

to an Apple store, where a technician will look at you askance and instruct you on the correct procedure with a smirk on his or her face.

The start button on the dash does not shut down the car. It only turns off the radio display.
