The house voted last month for a

criminal referral to persue charges against Mark Meadows.
When might we expect a decision on the doj's part to act on it or will we ?
And the referrals on bannon and others.
So much to keep up with it makes your head spin but everything is always a maybe or a could or sometime in the coming months.

Meadows was found to be in contempt of congress by the House on December 15 2021, at which point the referral was sent to DOJ.

A referral to DOJ is not a guarantee of DOJ petitioning the court for a grand jury. A grand jury taking on the case is not a guarantee of an eventual trial. A trial is not a guarantee of a conviction. A conviction is not a guarantee of incarceration.

There are no deadlines prescribed by law for any one of the above actions. While we can all be impatient with the pace of progress, this is the only reasonable extent of our expectations: being impatient for the foreseeable future. This, however, does not create a sense of obligation on the part of any of the authorities listed above to hurry up and meet them.

I think since Meadows was actual staff and not some greasy pockmarked schlub, that might need decided before Justice will act.
