She would have made some arrest in the Jan 6 investigation and finally hold some of these people who refuse to testify in contempt. We need someone with a brain like hers to add some faith in this system.Just listening to her ,I realize I feel the same way as to where is the action for these people because time is running out .

(35,888 posts)Yes I agree that she's very smart, but we all know that her one-hour show is the result of many bright people, not just Rachel. If she worked for the Dept. of Justice then she'd have to go by their rules. But luckily for us, she can tell us stuff that the feds can't reveal unless they break the law.

(121,210 posts)That's because the feds can't reveal it, duh. She can explain processes and present experts who can opine about what's going on, but she doesn't have any more access to federal investigations than anyone else.

(121,210 posts)it's "Ooh! Ooh! He/she should be on the Supreme Court!" (or run for president, or do some other thing for which they are not at all qualified). Why not acknowledge that these people are good at what they do and accept that they should just keep doing it? And advocate for public office or the judiciary people who are actually experienced and qualified? Rachel Maddow is exactly where she should be.
