In order for US Democracy to survive we need to make a lot of structural changes to our system.

We need to get rid of the electoral college.

We need term limits on the Supreme Court and in the House and Senate.

We need to regulate the purchase and use of weapons and not allow exploitation of the second amendment.

We need to punish everyone who breaks the law, including those in high office.

We need to structure Congress so that something positive gets done no matter what the composition.

We need to make it possible to run for office and stay in office without constant fundraising.

We need to make health care available to everyone, including abortion.

We need to ensure a living wage.

We need to establish that corporations are not people.

We need to find a way to expose disinformation for what it is.

And so much more...

Very Jeffersonian.

I keep coming back to Kennedy's musings on change...."those who make peaceful revolution impossible make violent revolution inevitable "

If we cannot peacefully change the government, we must be prepared for the inevitable.
