A group of seniors inadvertently ate a batch of cannabis brownies brought by a 73-year-old woman who didnt know that her adult son had baked them with THC butter. The incident happened last Tuesday in Tabor, a town with a population of 423 people. Police responded to several calls of a possible poisoning and found that all the patients had been playing cards at the Tabor Community Center and were under the influence.
Cops arrested Michael Koranda, 43, after he reportedly told them he had cooked the illicit goods with half a pound of THC butter he bought in Colorado, where recreational cannabis is legal.Michael Korandas mother reportedly took the brownies he baked after he went to bed.
After Michael Koranda went to bed and his mother unknowingly took the brownies to the card game where several people ate them, the affidavit read. There was no word on any injuries. He was charged with possession of a controlled drug or substance, which is punishable to 5 years in prison, according to the report.
Cannabis edibles can have a significantly stronger effect on users than smokable marijuana. Manufacturers warn that it is easy to accidentally ingest a paralyzing amount by overconsuming the tasty treats. South Dakota voters approved an amendment to legalize recreational cannabis in November, but that referendum was struck down by the states high court.
Cannabis remains illegal on the federal level, where it is classified as a Schedule I drug.

I smoked my share back in the 60s and 70s and it never caused me to try heroin.
Snorted Coke a time or two but it never did anything for me.
Back in my "hippie daze".

I snorted one line and did one numby (a bit on the gums) while visiting a friend I had not seen in years. I never did it again. Not because I didnt like what it did, but because it just felt a bridge too far. If youve gone over the line was a physical feeling, that was what I felt.
Weed? No problem.
Anything else? Nope.
Double that for things that make you see things that are not there.

That draft dodging lying war starter still goes float boating the Snake River for salmon with his daughter, while brownie dummy is going to prison for THC butter poisoning.
Did the cops bust the grannies for waging nickel-dime bets and corrupting other seniors to gamble?

2. Who eats brownies made with "green butter" without realizing it? I made some for my dad when he was dying of cancer and he hated them because they weren't chocolatey enough. The flavor is very off-putting. Were her card-playing friends just being polite by eating them?
