1/6 Hearings: Laughter is the Best Medicine. Hell, it's what We Dems have left to fight back with.

'Laughter and Shame' may be one of the best tactics we have going for us now.

Prerequisites have been met:

1) We have proven the Big Lie to most of The American People.
2) TFG/DFP has been made a laughing stock among Dems and Suburban voters. Especially Women and minorities.
3) His cronies and compatriots have proven (to most sane peeps) that they are not the brightest bulbs in the bunch.
4) The 1-6 Committee is going to hold TELEVISED hearings starting soon that will go on for MONTHS.
5) Narcissists and sociopaths HATE to be Laughed at.
6) The Serious stuff is being put together right now by our Heroes on the 1/6 Committee.

There is going to be a lot of serious matters up for discussion during the hearings. I am not making light of that fact...
but damn if it ain't gonna be SHOWTIME when one looks at the Insurrectionists.

Bring it on Comedy Central. Have at it Late Night Talking Heads. Crush it SNL.

Sharpen your pencils and wit Mr. Ferret and Mr. Rude Pundit.

SHOCK and AWE baby.

Narcissists and sociopaths HATE to be Laughed at. They HATE to be scorned and SHAMED. They make mistakes and act even more foolishly when this happens, they make it even worse.

And Jane and Joe Sixpack will be glued to their TV's and blogs and twitter accounts laughing their asses off.

Fellow Dems, I submit it is the hand we have been dealt. If You Can't beat them at their game, then show the world how stupid and idiotic and foolish and funny they really are.

We will win in November 2022 hands down.

Laughter is the Best Medicine.

"Above all else, the devil cannot stand to be mocked."

Well deserved ridicule is powerful weapon, we must use it against them mercilessly.

I can't wait for these hearings to start. I'm proud of the work being done by the Select Committee.

"So keep fightin' for freedom and justice, beloveds, but don't you forget to have fun doin' it. Lord, let your laughter ring forth. Be outrageous, ridicule the fraidy-cats, rejoice in all the oddities that freedom can produce. And when you get through kickin' ass and celebratin' the sheer joy of a good fight, be sure to tell those who come after how much fun it was."

I confess that the Trump years and even these last two have made me feel less of the "sheer joy of a good fight." But Molly's right, as is the OP.

The nadir for me was the assassination of JFK in the city of my birth. Molly and Gov. Ann Richards made me proud. I deeply mourned both her and Molly's passing.

So many wonderful memories of her, of Ann Richards, and a few other Texas characters (in the best sense of that designation). Insightful, hilarious, towering figures.
