A conversation I overheard this morning at the bakery from two ladies sitting in the dining area fauci knew fauci needs to go to prison.

You would think any normal person in thought would be pissed off at trump for fucking up pandemic saying it’s hoax.

It's not that the MAGA cult members are stupid (of course some certainly are). It's easy to relegate them to being ignorant, but when we do that we underestimate the power of our enemy.

The reality is that today we are witnessing the power of populist propaganda being amplified through the megaphone of the Internet, thousands of times more effective than any disinformation machine in history.

What we should be focused on is not how stupid they are, but rather how people with average intelligence can be manipulated like puppets on a string by disinformation and lies. It started by a general degradation of critical thinking skills across the board, which began long before Trump. These people were ripe for the picking, all it took were con artists like Limbaugh and Trump and Hannity and all the others to take advantage.

But how do you counter the propaganda? Fox News and it's allies spew BS 24/7. Their listeners take everything they say as gospel truth. So when I try to talk to Trump supporters about how there is no evidence that the election was rigged, that climate change is real and that vaccines work they just laugh at me and tell call me a sheep. They know the REAL story! They have no critical thinking skills nor do they have any common sense. They believe the most outlandish things. It just makes me roll my eyes.
