And the rescuers did not seem pleased.

I guess she’s just agile. I wouldn’t want to balance on my Outback even in the driveway, much less as it floated in water!

Right, I would be soaking wet getting out of the submerged car. And if I tried to stand up on the hood of the car I would fall in the water and drown.

I guess the US population feels immune from bad things happening to them.
To the point they are foolish.

She is in a life threatening emergency and instead of trying to figure out an escape plan she is taking selfies.

and it doesn't look like she is trying to brake - not seeing the car spin, slow down, etc.

But you'd think if she was just driving on the river for the heck of it, one of the articles would have commented on it.

Ottawa paramedics also went to the scene, but said the lone occupant of the vehicle did not want to be assessed, and police said the driver was not injured ... Police said the driver was charged with one count of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle ..."
