Biden has hit levels of popularity in one year that Trump never reached in four years, yet the mainstream press rarely obsessed over how consistently unpopular Trump was. They also did the same with Obama compared to Bush.



via fivethirtyeight here's how biden's aggregate popularity compares to trump's thus far. weird how the mainstream press avoided "trump in popularity crisis" as a narrative for so long.

also the mainstream press' regular assertions that bush and trump were popular, despite them both being popular vote losers, has always stuck in my craw. meanwhile obama crushed the popular vote and the electoral college and for eight years it was "he might as well quit"
