Rep. Massie tests positive for Covid, says he's unvaccinated

Republican Rep. Thomas Massie of Kentucky and Democratic Rep. Raul Grijalva of Arizona both announced Thursday that they tested positive for Covid-19.

Massie, who also said he is not vaccinated, is a fierce critic of White House chief medical adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci, and has been among the loudest voices in Congress against vaccine and mask mandates.
"I have tested positive for SARS-CoV2. (Home test, confirmed by lab PCR.) I had cold/allergy symptoms for 1 day, and seem to be over it," he tweeted.
"I will not be voting, meeting in person, or making public appearances until next week," he continued. "I am not vaccinated or boosted."
He also suggested his case is mild because he's been previously infected by Covid-19.

Policy and ideology aside, he's not stupid. But he knows that if it gets out that he's had the jab, he'll be revealed as an apostate rather than a True Believer™.

Morgan Watkins
Louisville Courier Journal

Rep. Thomas Massie said Monday he'll never delete the controversial photo he posted over the weekend of him and his family holding guns in front of a Christmas tree.

Massie's picture has gotten over 81,000 "likes" on Twitter but also attracted a lot of criticism because he posted it less than a week after four teenagers in Michigan were killed in the nation's latest mass school shooting.

"A lot of people think that's going to be our Christmas card," Massie said of the gun-filled photo during a Monday interview on conservative radio host Todd Starnes' show.

"We actually took a very similar picture holding musical instruments because we like to shoot guns and play music when we get together as a family. And the one that's going on the Christmas card are bluegrass instruments."

He indicated his family took the other photo that later caused an uproar online because they figured, "'Hey, wouldn't it be fun to hold the guns instead of the instruments?'"

The family & community business he leaves behind to pick up the pieces & morn is a big group of lifelong friends.

He was a generous man who never let anyone go homeless, hungry nor struggling at the bottom.
I just think of the minut detail of a quick vax that would have saved these people from their grief today, & as good a person as he was, He was very selfish in the chaos left for the family & now to figure out with his business.

He never smoked nor drank.
He was healthy.

He tested + on Dec 17th & died a long & awful death a month later.
After the virus raveged his lungs & turned them to a mass of small blood clots, collapsing one lung to where it bubbled out one side as they tried to 'reinflate' it with oxygen.
When the virus was gone from his lungs, the kidneys ceased to function, dialysis caused a sudden spike & drop in his heart rate.
As his heart tried to do it job, it could no longer fight against the many small clots the virus left throughout his capillary system, the nonfunctioning kidneys, & his body put itself into a comotose state, his heart spiked & dropped for 4 days and he died.

It didn't & shouldn't have had to happened at all.
He has grandkids that today are in grief.
It bothers me, that those who choose not to protect themselves, will not then consider what their choice does to those that love & need them.
This virus is brutal & will move throughout the human body and kill you.

The selfish behavior of people like Rep Massie, someone in a public position to not address to his citizens the truth of this virus, as the deadly thing it is, earns zero sympathy from me.

I don't care if he lives or dies from it at this point.
