BREAKING: A Texas court has blocked enforcement of the federal employee vaccination mandate nationwide.
(The federal contractor #VaccineMandate is already subject to a nationwide injunction; this order blocks the government from enforcing the mandate as to its own employees.)

(33,643 posts)I mean C19 is serious don't get me wrong, but very good chance there's going to be something much worse in the not-too-distant future, and the 'pro-life' RePuQ's are making certain that the government is barely going to be able to do SHIT about it, and millions or even 10's of millions will end up dead as a result.
Not just with shit like this, but also widely propagandizing that it's not incumbent upon any individual ... to cooperate with Society At Large in the face of a catastrophic threat ... cause Freedumb!
Fucking hate these people, man.

(51,064 posts)The only positive thing is 90%+ of the employees this applies to are already vaccinated.
But, it will keep more from getting boosters, so they won't be fully vaxxed.

(102,200 posts)Presidential orders for the military if they 1. violate Federal Law or 2. violate the constitution. I don't know how they could make a case for either given no identified Federal law violated and the military's unique requirement for readiness in the interest of national security.

(2,398 posts)The next one might not be as "gentle" as Covid. It has only killed 840,000 Americans. The next one could be Captain Trips.... and the government will be powerless to enforce any mitigating measures.
How the fuck did we get to this place??? (rhetorical question)
