Texas AG Ken Paxton, opponent of vaccine and mask mandates, tests positive for coronavirus

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, opponent of vaccine and mask mandates, tests positive for coronavirus

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton (R), who has challenged the Biden administration’s efforts to mandate vaccines, tested positive for the coronavirus, his office confirmed.

“He remains working diligently for the people of Texas from home,” spokesperson Alejandro Garcia said in a statement.

Paxton’s office did not answer questions about whether he was vaccinated or when he was infected.

Social media posts showed him attending a rally for former president Donald Trump over the weekend.

The attorney general, whom Trump endorsed, filed a lawsuit this month to challenge the Biden administration’s vaccine mandate efforts.

Paxton has staunchly opposed attempts by President Biden to make coronavirus vaccines compulsory for health-care workers in facilities that receive Medicare and Medicaid funds, for troops in the Texas National Guard, and for staff members at Head Start programs. He has also fought requirements for parents, teachers and children to wear masks at schools.

"He who lives by the sword, dies by the sword." What Jesus said at the Garden upon his arrest.

In Paxton's case, it is COVID he now has to worry about.

I had it and it lasted 4 days

But it was so mild, I would have never thought it was Covid. It was like a cold.

So many of these tools are playing troglodyte for the troglodytes, but aren't going to foolishly risk their own lives.
It doesn't matter to them if people jump on their "free-dumb" wagon & end up dead. As long as their precious lives are protected, there's a political bonfire to light.

We’re seeing now that being vaxxed and masked doesn’t matter as much as far as catching Omicron, still a huge hypocrite but they don’t care.

to play along with their constituents rather than influencing them to get the vaccine? They may not be around to reelect him next time.

Chances of catching it there bound to be very high. Louie Gohmert’s jumped in the primary race for TX AG. Bet he’s very interested in how Paxton is doing.
