Is a powerful 13 minute animated movie about a couple who lose their daughter in a school shooting. Give it a watch, and have tissues handy. Everyone in the House and Senate should be required to see this movie, it could change their minds on gun control.
This is from "Everytown Research and Policy"
"When it comes to how American children are exposed to gun violence, gunfire at schools is just the tip of the icebergevery year, more than 3,500 children and teens are shot and killed and 15,000 more are shot and injured. An estimated 3 million children in the US are exposed to shootings per year. Witnessing shootingswhether in their schools, their communities or their homescan have a devastating impact. Children exposed to violence, crime, and abuse are more likely to abuse drugs and alcohol; suffer from depression, anxiety, and post traumatic stress"
It is way past time to take some action on this issue.
Enjoy the movie, as sad as it is. Here is a one minute clip.

(9,998 posts)I realize some will never give up the fight, but I have zero doubt that this is the new norm, and if anything, likely to get worse.
It is America. If you live here, its time to just accept the reality. Luck will be what determines whether gun violence impacts your life, or that of a loved one.
