That would take the kind of extreme declaration of presidential power that even tRump was afraid to use, including the military, and would almost certainly fail then. Straight to the courts by dozens of entities with standing, with 6 corrupt RW extremists waiting at the top in the very unlikely case it wasn't stopped at lower level.

Maybe revisit the "NO ENTRY WITHOUT CARD" idea if a new, much more lethal variant, or perhaps ebola, goes pandemic. Authoritarians would leap on board if scared enough.

10. They don't work in red states

Our most popular chain of conveince stores in OK, Quick Trip, during our mask "mandate" placed signs on every door saying masks were required to enter. What happened was you had unmasked security guards holding open the door for unmasked patrons. I don't shop at Walmart but I use the same parking lot for another store. I see possibly 1/10 workers wearing a mask only 1 in ten of those wearing it over both their mouth AND nose. Employers won't enforce the rules and neither will cops.

I am assuming of course that you have already contacted each of these chains with your request (please share you message if you can do so) and also assuming that you will volunteer to be the door greeter at one of them informing customers of the new policy.

Please let us know how well things go with your interactions with the folks that take a different and more dim view of vaccine mandates and masking requirements. I'm sure that there will be all sorts of interesting stories to be shared.

They love their 💶💶💶💶 too damn much. Son works at one and his store has always been lax about enforcing health policies, even back in 2020. Even though there were state mandates, employees could not enforce them. He was a cashier at the time, and lived in fear of getting sick. They did put up plastic “barriers” between the customers and cashiers, but those things were so flimsy to be useless.

Lowes — and I’m sure Home Depot too — was classified as an “essential” business during the height of the pandemic. I can see the sense in that, kind of, but he thought it should have been limited to “essential” stuff like plumbing or electrical supplies. He had people in there buying garden stuff, mostly unmasked, of course.
