He beat up trees.

Way to much anger in this man. He should have no place in congress.

The 19-second video shows Cawthorn sitting in his wheelchair in the woods, punching a tree repeatedly. While he’s able to use his fists to punch away pieces of wood, more than one person pointed out that the wood appears to be rotten, making this less impressive than it might initially appear.

David Dorfman sniffed, “That wood is as rotten as his soul and the soul of the @GOP. One could chop that tree down with a wet sock.” He added, “This is a yawner from @CawthornforNC,” tagging the congressman so that he might see it.

I'm an old guy -- 77. I hit the gym for two hours M-W-F; on T-Th-Sat I walk 5 miles. I'm in good shape for an old guy.

In the gym, I know several young guys, most of whom pump a lot of iron and are heavily muscled. After Madison Cawthorn's video of him beating up a tree, I asked some of these guys if they beat up trees. Their unanimous reaction was "Who is this asshole?"

9. I don't know why anyone would hit trees

But it’s a thing. My brother is a landlord and in one of his complexes, the son of one of his tenants was out hitting a tree. My brother happened to be at the property that day and put a stop to it. He called to tell me about it.

I just about fainted a few days later when my brother called again to tell me that this idiot was under the tree he had been tormenting when a branch gave way, fell, and killed him.
