(5,492 posts)I also love how Jordan Peterson pretends that advice like Clean your room is some profound statement. What a pretentious blowhard.

(43,302 posts)anti universal healthcare stances, etc etc, the older cohorts (older Gen Xers, plus Boomers, Silent Gen, and the few GI Gen left) are FAR more likely to hold Joe Rogan and Jordan Peterson-adjacent RW/reactionary/racist/anti-science beliefs than we younger folk (I am 25yo) are as a whole.
Also, over 70% of Rogan's listeners are men (I would wager close to 80, 85% of Peterson acolytes are, maybe even more), so there is a gender component as well.
That all said, I do grant that the POS Rogan DOES have a very deleterious effect on far too many (he has over 200 to 250 million downloads a month globally on Spotify, and even more when you count all outlets) of us Zennials, Millennials, Zillennials, and Gen Z'ers (so the 45yo and under group, especially the 35yo and unders).

(3,327 posts)Have had the service since we bought a new car in August, but haven't really used it by any real measure. Neil's decision reminded me we listen exclusively to a flash drive full of mp3s.
Sorry Spotify, your desire to amplify Rogan's idiocy to his fan base lost you an otherwise apathetic customer. Free market and all that.
