Shouldn’t that have happened already? How many of Trump-era FBI hires are still in the ranks, and were they hired for reasons of loyalty to Trump? Given the infiltration of police forces across the nation by white supremacists, it’s logical to think that anti-government types and white supremacists have also infiltrated the FBI. I’m not old enough to remember the corruption of Hoover and the FBI under his leadership, but Hoover established an agency with a culture of being political. That was a long time ago, but culture changes slowly in an organization because it keeps affecting and being passed along to new hires.

I suppose I’m just suspicious of most people hired during Trump’s time in office because he favored corrupt people like himself.

At the absolute most, he could reasonably expect a "thanks for letting us know." They're not going to call him back and tell him the names of the guys involved, which group(s) they belong to, and what their investigation has turned up. Why on earth would they do that? He's not a law enforcement official.
