Pretty impressive.
I thought it would just be 4 shrink wrapped boxes. Nope. They padded it and weatherproofed. They have to be able to deliver everywhere everyday. 👀
My notice said Monday so they upped that.

(16,978 posts)I don't know if it's the tests or another small package I'm expecting. They usually just leave my packages on the front porch if they won't fit in the box. Maybe it was raining that day, not sure.

so i did and was taken to a fake post office website that wanted my info including credit card number to pay that $3 second delivery fee
i forwarded it to my kid and her phone wouldn't even let her see the email i sent because it was blocking it for her

(16,978 posts)I won't worry about trying to pick it up. If it's legit, I guess the postal carrier will try to deliver it again. I hate all these fucking scams! They complicate everything. I always try to find out as much about them as I can before reporting them. Don't know how much good it does, but we all should try to help catch these bastards. It's the only way to stop them.

(10,885 posts)BUT! My phone rang on Wednesday at 10:45 a.m. with a call from the city's Emergency Commission stating that free tests would be distributed until 1:00 p.m. at a nearby recreation facility. I hopped in the car and got right down there and there were already hundreds of cars pulling in and out of the parking area. Was able to score four free tests, so hurray!
It was a Win for the City too b/c they were able to see how effective their emergency notification system works.

(8,521 posts)I was able to buy two yesterday. We used the last two that we had on Wednesday (my husband tested positive, I'm negative).
We had gotten two free from the public library but they were incredibly close to their expiration date and expired before we could use them.

(10,885 posts)It hadn't occurred to me to check until you mentioned it, but they have a "Use by" date of 6/26/2022 so we're good. Hopefully the ones being mailed will go beyond then by a bit.
Hope you're able to stay in the negative despite your husband's positive test, and hope also that his symptoms are slight. Good luck and good wishes!

(21,695 posts)so it's just a small drop in the bucket of the number of tests I will need. I could ask why my kids that just recovered from covid need weekly testing for covid, but schools are in panic mode not thinking mode.
