(30,715 posts)Oh its Turley. Theyve gotten so crazy I cant follow them. They object to affirmative action because some less qualified minority person would get the job that really belongs to a white male. Is this what theyre saying about the Supreme Court?

(42,650 posts)to an underlying argument that ANY black woman who is not on board with the white nationalist agenda is automatically inferior and suspect.
People like Carlson only will allow support for a RW black woman as a means to troll the left with. They tolerate people like Senator Tim Scott and Candace Owens as those token types allow the white wing to reverse weaponise race. IF they (the white nationalists) no longer felt the need to do so (meaning they has such overwhelming majorities of white voter support and conservative PoC (such as the rapidly growing RW Hispanic and Asian voter blocs) to overcome any and all electoral opposition from a combined left, centre left, and centre), they would drop all pretence about paying lip service to any black Rethugs in any positions. In their heart of hearts, they despise the Scotts, Thomas's, and Owens's of the world, but they use them as political weapons/mascots/useful idiots). Many of the white wing are racial genocodalists/racial physical abolitionists (kill/deport all PoC judged to be of a completely inferior group/typology, unless you can enslave them, chattel style, and only then allow that in small numbers) at their core. The most hardcore also would have little problem with Semitic genocide as well (these would be Final Solutionists who think Hitler was doing the right thing for the planet).

(4,131 posts)I think he should have just done it and not announced it ahead of time. Comprehending the nuance behind that decision is beyond the capability of most folks in our country.
Regardless, I'm so glad that Black women are going to be represented!!
Mister Ed
(5,896 posts)He needed to let people like you (and me) who would like to see a Black woman on the court know that we could count on him to appoint one. Now that he's on the verge of fulfilling that promise, I'm thinking it's much better for him to have declared his intentions in advance than it would have been for him to make a stealth move.

I love that Biden is choosing a black woman, He should have just did it, and not say it up front.
