Remember Sandy Berger???
Sandy Berger to plead guilty on documents charge
Prosecutors recommend fine, but not jail, for ex-Clinton adviser http://www.cnn.com/2005/LAW/04/01/berger.plea/ WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Federal prosecutors will recommend that former national security adviser Sandy Berger be fined $10,000 and lose his security clearance for three years, but receive no jail time, sources said.
The Justice Department announced Thursday that Berger would plead guilty to illegally removing classified documents from the National Archives. Berger, adviser to former President Clinton, was expected to enter the plea in U.S. District Court in Washington Friday to a single count of "unauthorized removal and retention of classified material," officials said. That was just a few documents. A few documents. TFG took DOZENS of BOXES filled with MULTIPLE documents.

2. Equal crime, equal time
Oh wait. This was worse. Worm your way out of that DOJ!
Also what about that woman who was found to have classified documents and they used a search warrant at her home as was appropriate. TFG? They spent months negotiating to get them back. Say what? |

4. Berger went into the Nat'l Archives several times, stuffed documents in pants, and destroyed them.
Bet money trump will say that he had no idea the documents were taken during his move to Florida. And he will point to the fact they were still in storage a year letter and had not been destroyed.
To get trump on this, someone is going to have to show evidence that the documents were evidence of a crime, or contained information trump planned to sell to our enemies, or something similar. So far, have seen/heard no such evidence and they've had plenty of time to go through the documents and report on what was found. I'm ready for a preliminary report from the Committee pretty soon. |

6. Sandy made a very big mistake, and he was punished.
He should have taken 25 boxes of documents for which he would have gotten no punishment.

8. The plea was a year after the violation occurred.
So, plenty of time?
