Also that Biden was talking to Zelensky right now. It was also considered breaking news.

(8,690 posts)Accounts I've read on Twitter imply they are heavily damaging it.
This is the largest nuclear power plant in Europe.
If it goes critical it could kill thousands and make millions sick.
I lived in Europe during the Chernobyl disaster and despite being thousands of miles away we were still impacted by the fallout.
NATO cannot allow them to cause a nuclear disaster.

(2,096 posts)Thats how they make power. Critical means the chain reaction is steady and power is steady. In power reactors, critical is normal and good. I am sure those reactors are shut down and wont be taken critical until the invaders are gone and any damage repaired.
What you should be worried about is if it loses all cooling to the fuel.

It's too bad it's so labor intensive, although I guess if it were more available, I'd be in trouble. Hard to pass up.

I believe if a NATO country attacks another, the mutual defense clause does not kick in.
I think that only kicks in if a NATO country is attacked first.

Failing? I don't see that at all. The Russian attack appears to be clumsy but in the end they will annihilate Ukraine. Install Russian friendlies in every city and his puppet in Kyiv.

When 90% of the countries are against Russia's actions. If China and India join in, that's something that cannot be refuted, no matter how much propaganda Putin throws at them. Instituting Martial Law will just amplify the growing distrust in Putin.
If a foreign nation tries to take him out, that would be calamitous.

The American soldiers were so angry that they shot a lot the German soldiers at the camp.
Line them up against a wall and shot them.
My Uncle who could speak German spoke to them first.
Things happen.
The war is only going to get worse.

(54,330 posts)It wont care who is in its path. Maybe Putin can cover it jp for a while, but at some point word will filter back into Russia.
I think Putins miscalculations may earn him the same fate as Julius Caesar. Theyd never admit it public, of course. Theyd say he slipped and fell on a pin cushion, and give him a heros funeral. Thats how its done there.
