Huge Russian convoy falls off Media's Radar.
As the vehicles started moving, or not, the Media continues to cover the easy to find 2.0 Million evacuees and avoids any mention of the Convoy. Many, across the world, have put forth all sorts of ideas for destroying the Convoy, but its fate seems to lie in simply becoming invisible to any actual scrutiny. There is one report of the earth opening up and swallowing the trucks
but that was 3 days ago.

Allowing satellite photographs. Not like the Russians would allow a fly over by a news team.

4. b.o.r.i.n.g. - as a loud collect yawn eminates from the media.....
Trucks idling along highways are simply not interesting. Even the occasional pod of trucks that get burned out is not interesting because all they get to see is burned out vehicles; again.
Refugees are exciting. Each one has a story that can be misinterpreted. Each one is a ball of clay a reporter can use to fashion any message whatsoever. Idling or burned out trucks are boring. It's like stopping at a rest stop on i-95. Nothing to see here m'am. move along. |

9. not sure what that proves?
So a lot has been written. Google "transgender animals" or just about any topic and you will find hundreds of stories.
What is on the landing pages of the major news outlets and aggregators? What is current on the social media news sites? It's not the convoy at the moment. News is ephemeral. It will come back to the convoy when it becomes interesting or relavent. Just imho of course. |

Seemingly stuck Russian convoy hides mysteries Rather than striking fear in Ukrainians, the extended column of Russian vehicles has inspired Kyiv residents to join the resistance By Siobhán O'Grady and Karoun Demirjian Yesterday at 7:08 p.m. EST KYIV, Ukraine — Makeshift roadblocks have been installed throughout this capital to impede the movements of Russian troops snaking toward the city in a convoy about 15 miles away. On some strategic thruways, Ukrainians have parked trams and buses to restrict driving access. Checkpoints to inspect IDs have also been established to root out would-be saboteurs. “We have a lot of presents” for the Russians, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said in an interview. “It’s not sweet. It’s very painful.” The extended 40-mile parade of Russian armored vehicles, tanks and towed artillery headed from the north on a path toward Kyiv has both alarmed and befuddled watchers of this expanding war. It’s not just its sheer size. It’s also because that for days, it has not appreciably been moving. U.S. officials attribute the apparent stall in part to logistical failures on the Russian side, including as a result of food and fuel shortages, that have slowed Moscow’s advance through various parts of the country. They have also credited Ukrainian efforts to attack selected parts of the convoy with contributing to its slowdown. Still, officials warn that the Russians could regroup at any moment and continue to press forward. {snip} Annie Linskey in Washington and Karla Adam in London contributed to this report. By Siobhán O'Grady Siobhán O’Grady is the The Washington Post's Cairo bureau chief, covering North Africa and Yemen. Twitter https://twitter.com/siobhan_ogrady By Karoun Demirjian Karoun Demirjian is a Pentagon correspondent for the Post. She was previously a national security reporter covering Capitol Hill, focusing on defense, foreign affairs, intelligence and policy matters concerning the Justice Department. She began working for The Post based in its Moscow bureau. Twitter https://twitter.com/karoun |

15. So we are to believe the trucks are exactly as pictured by Maxar on Feb 28th?
Except somebody has parked some trams and buses at some intersections to slow their progress? Nobody along that 40 miles has some cell phone video of the situation? There are no reporting sources along that entire length? WP is right to entitle their article,"Seemingly stuck Russian convoy hides mysteries", as they bring little to light. I'm thinking the report from 4 days ago is all we have.

7. Seems like their news priorities are right
People are important. A 'convoy' that's not going anywhere is not news, just a subject for occasional speculation.
Is the "earth opening up" bit a joke? I can't see the target. |

Ukraine Cold Snap Set To Freeze Russian Convoy, Could See Soldiers Quit By Brendan Cole On 3/8/22 at 5:38 AM EST A severe cold snap could push Russian troops to desert a convoy that has been stalled outside of Kyiv for the last few days, a military advisor to Ukraine's armed forces has said. Arctic air moving through Russia and Ukraine will combine with an easterly wind to make the temperature feel as cold as minus 20 by Wednesday, according to forecasts. Russian troops are expected to find these conditions tough as they remain stuck in a column around 20 miles outside of the Ukrainian capital that has barely moved since last week. |
