In a March interview with the Christian Broadcasting Network, Birx said Trump was attentive to the scientific literature, praising his ability to analyze and integrate data. It was a description at odds with reports of a president who disregarded scientific advice and wanted to move on from the pandemic as

Even our most honored astronauts were not permitted to roam free at the MD facilities. I had a Secret-SAR ("Special Access Required" clearance at the time, and was eligible to escort dignitaries as they moved around the buildings.
MD at that time was heavily involved in the manufacture of components for the Skylab - Manned Orbiting Lab program. Extra bonus: We got time off to watch all launches, either from home or at MD. Being at MD during launch was way more exciting!
ETA: Apparently the " and ) combined create " . Who knew?

(19,864 posts)Definitely watching with your involved peers would almost always be more exciting!
I love watching the launch and landing teams on TV cheering, hugging, hi-fiving, etc(except during covid).

(2,541 posts)Never forget what the GOP has done from supporting DT who they knew to be compromised morally, to sitting silent while that same morally bankrupt person lied about how deadly a virus was actually calling COVID 19 a hoax
some hoax almost 1 million Americans are now dead from COVID-19 . The GOP could have stopped this and potentially saved thousands of Americans had they taken their jobs seriously. The GOP is still covering for DT even after he tried to have the government overthrown.
The GOP is the biggest threat to Democracy. Over the last 20+ yrs they have wrought one disaster after another. 9/11, 2 Wars, Torture, Economic Collapse
and now a Pandemic that as mention has killed almost 1 million Americans and a Coup to boot.
