(13,776 posts)2. I've been watching a bunch of "life in Russia" YouTube channels in the past week or so
One guy in particular is broken-hearted and furious about what Putin is doing. I'm really surprised that (as of last night, anyway) he's still been out of prison and able to post his videos.
And the other channels are so sad too. Just regular people whose lives and incomes are being upended by Putin's warmongering. I saw the woman above last night; I believe she said she was pregnant, which must have lent an extra urgency to their need to leave.

But she is definitely focused more locally than the "war" and what is going on. But she seemed very aware to what is going on..
Some small disclosure - I am believing she is not Russian Orthodox, but more Western mainstream....
