At the very least, the Ginni Thomas revelations

fail the ďappearance of a conflict of interestĒ test. Meaning that the expectation of confidence in the opinions and judgments of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas has to be in serious doubt.

3. The integrity of the Court depends on his doing so. And that is the line Dems should push

every time they get a chance in every public and private opportunity, TV, radio, and print media included.

13. Republicans don't care

They donít care about the integrity of the Court. Thatís for historians to decide. They care about now and what the count can do for them now. Screw integrity.

5. If he died tomorrow the Republicans would still put his robed body in his seat. He doesn't ask

questions anyway, who'd know?

12. Fat chance

He doesnít care. He knows there arenít enough votes to impeach him. Heíll waddle in giving a mental middle finger to all of his detractors. Heís smug, arrogant and doesnít give a shit about ethics or the appearance of impropriety.

It could come out that Ginni was writing his opinions. Wonít matter and it wonít matter to conservatives either.

2. IF one assumes spouses 'business' dealings are shared;

MINE were not, we practiced in completely different areas of law.

(This may be an extreme example, but may provide food for thought.)

6. I suppose it was inevitable that Thomas went down in flames like this

He was never up to the task to begin with, his ethics were unethical, his legal curiosity was limited, his judicial voice was the echo of a federalist memo, and he was married to a traitor.

Wouldn't it be sweet if we could "steal" a seat on the SC to at least partially compensate for the sneering hypocrisy of the right during Trump's tenure?

9. If he kicks

queue McConnell bloviating how it's "just too close" to the midterms for the President to be appointing any more SC judges!

10. What makes you think he's going down in flames?

If he recovers from his illness, itís going to be business as usual for him and SCOTUS
