1. For The 10th Time...

...oil companies do not set gas prices.
If you want an explanation as to why oil prices dropped 18% & gas only 7%, we need to talk to the commodity marketeers & the regulators.
The futures traders are clearly overbidding on longer futures to keep prices up for their current contracts. The link to crude price is being willfully broken, even though the regulations intentionally links them.
The oil companies are happy beneficiaries of these prices, but they don't set them.
We're the victims of gamblers playing a game rigged in their favor. That's where the grift is.
Allowing refined product to be market commoditized was a huge mistake. And, it was promoted by the "competition is king" free market drones while they were eliminating any incentive to compete on price. It was really dumb, especially with how loose the accompanying regulations are.
