I really miss her and her loves the way she does her show. I know some don't like the way she "goes on and on" but I don't feel that way really miss her nightly class in politics and history.

(15,068 posts)But I'm ready to see Rachel back in the chair.
I caught myself watching The Addams Family last week for the first 30 minutes of Ali.

in between the excellent war coverage.
Rachel could do it. She can multitask.
It was only about 2 days before Putins War started that I read a report here that all 3 GOP candidates for State AG in (Michigan?! ) were calling for the repeal of Griswold, the precursor to Roe, and gay marriage, and so much else. I felt gutted. I wept.
Then Putin embarked on the Ukrainian catastrophe, and again, I wept. Todays a bad day. Im doing it again.
I miss Rachel and her informed and intelligent way of putting things in context. She may have moved on but gods, I hope she comes back.

(15,555 posts)Just in time for the televised January 6 committee hearings.
Shes only going to be back for a short time before ending her nightly show permanently, and then she will only return for elections coverage and special projects/reports.

(7,573 posts)I quit watching cable news. Occasionally check in with Nicole but otherwise watch movies, read my Kindle book mysteries, and check in DU to see what I missed from newscasts.Much happier and living with much less stress these days.

(9,944 posts)... she agreed to do election coverage, so I expect she will be working late Oct - early November. May and July are also sweeps months - when ratings count in determining ad dollars.
