had to tread very lightly to get to this point. The charges were made in an ruby red county, but got redirected to Fani Willis in Fulton County/Atlanta as it was thought the case would never progress in the ruby red country.

Although Fani Willis is in the diverse Fulton/Atlanta county, the organization that approves grand jury seatings is under ruby red control.

Fingers crossed that Ms Willis is able to bring in the indictments against tfg.

In Georgia, a judge in January granted Willis’ request to impanel a grand jury to investigate Trump after Willis said she “received information indicating a reasonable probability” that Georgia’s 2020 election “was subject to possible criminal disruptions.”

Willis said that information included reports that people “associated with these disruptions” had contacted the state’s secretary of state, its attorney general, and the United States Attorney for the Northern District of Georgia.

it doesn't have the authority to indict. If this grand jury turns up evidence that that shows criminal intent then another grand jury needs to be empaneled to indict.

That said, He didn't explicitly tell Raffensberger to manufacture 11,000 votes. He pushed him to "find" 11,000 votes. Will a grand jury feel that's enough to indict and convict?

was fraudulent/illegal. And so far there's no evidence other than the phone call. I don't know maybe this is what took so long?

Here’s the full transcript and audio of the call between Trump and Raffensperger

Reffensperger keeps pushing back at the lies with facts and the truth and the orange motherfucker keeps shifting the goalposts, and saying well then, it was that, not this. Raffensperger tosses in another fact that shoots down this latest lie and he changes his story again, like ballot shredding, floods that mean ballots get thrown out, etc. None of it is true and Raffensperger keeps shooting everything down with facts. And then the stupid motherfucker throws out the number 11,780 votes, because he's behind 11,799 votes.

That is a clear indication to me that he knows exactly what he was doing and he knows it was illegal.

the prosecution has to prove that Trump knew he lost Georgia.

One would think that with his AG and lawyer telling him there was no fraud that would be enough, maybe.

And it's clear he simply didn't agree with it.

I put a link to the transcript in a post above. It's mind-numbing to read his word salad but it's clear he knew he lost Georgia but didn't accept it, several people told him that the data were right and there was no fraud, and then he got threatening. That phone call must have lasted way too long - it took a long time to read it - and near the end of it Raffensberger was essentially saying he'd look into it just to shut him up. But this is also after telling him several times they had already done some investigations and did not see any of the things the motherfucker was throwing at them. I mean, he was like a kid saying the dog ate his homework, it was so blatantly ridiculous. He had nothing solid for his accusations, and indeed, Raffensberger said that when proof was investigated, none was found. He shot him down left and right and he wouldn't accept any of it. Just kept on with the dog ate the ballots. Or something.

I do think this is probably the clearest criminal case amongst all his criminality while in office, but I still don't know whether it will convince a jury. Sometimes juries hang up on the stupidest of things.

And I hate that grand juries often don't indict if they don't think it's a slam dunk case, but there's always that to worry about as well.

I will be very happy.

So far however I have avoided disappointment by expecting nothing to come from all of the investigations
