They figured that it would be safer to get out and try to get around the storm rather than sit at moorage.

(17,085 posts)I guess that's foundering? If she were on a shallow bottom she would surely have broken up in the storm, don't you think? It will be interesting to see what the morning brings.

As a Coast Guard aviator (H-60's) I can tell you firsthand when you don't get everyone your sent to get, it sticks with ya.
