The phrase ". . . created in the image of god . . . " is meaningless and cannot be defined.
The phrase ". . . from the moment of fertilization . . . " ????
Both of these make me want to projectile vomit everything I've eaten since I was 12.
But, Louisiana law, no matter what the vote tally was, CANNOT EVER over-rule federal law. I don't give a rodent's round rump what they write in their quaint little bill. Let them secede if they want, but the LA Lege does NOT run this country.

(11,540 posts)5. Yes, exactly
This bill could have been written by the Taliban; it reeks of misogyny and fascism. No wonder Louisiana has the highest maternal mortality rate in the country. I just hope recent events are enough of a wake up call for decent Americans to get out and vote.

3: We recognize the Constitution and federal law as the supreme law of the land.
4. We will ignore and render null and void any federal law that conflicts with this law.
