Many Americans are fine with autocratic rule as long as they pay no taxes and/or get white male christian minority rule.

An appeals court just reinstated the restrictive law - today, just a few hours ago, and it is signed already by you know who

The Florida law, known as Senate Bill 90, added new restrictions on drop boxes, third-party voter registration, mail voting, and “line warming” activities like giving voters food and water while they wait in line to cast a ballot.
snip...
The state appealed the ruling and asked the U.S. Circuit Court for a temporary stay on Walker's order. The appeals court granted the request on Friday, saying it is too close to an election for the lower court to make changes to voting rules.

More on the question though, it isn't as simple as the difference between being able to give water and being able to get water. There were some guidelines that didn't fit neatly into a soundbite. Have you tried looking at Ballotpedia or the state site: https://www.flsenate.gov/Session/Bill/2021/90

Update: the state site shows the governor signed it into law today. Just that quick.

Then, by some miracle everyone's attention went to a supposed leak at the US Supreme Court, of which because little or no meaning exists, became a debacle over meaningless statements by prospective Justices being perjury, and took our eyes off of the appeal and reinstatement of the original restrictive voting laws. This whole Supreme Court thing with the leaks and the primary opinions made great cover for the one, and the trial set for May 12th on the other has been cancelled. As a strategy one could look at things from a distance and up close at the same time, and we do. I'm not sure that we need to do anything new or different but instead play a better game.

5. Sounds like voting by mail might be the best solution if one can't get to ballot box during hours.

I'm assuming local Democratic offices and voter advocates are educating voters as to options.

we as a people need to tell everyone we know to get their shit together so your vote will count. Don't wait until the last minute to check your registration your ID your polling place and if you need help ask now for someone to help you. Unfortunately too many people don't care about much as long as their phone is working. Vote every time every election please.
