Tell the People that the Repugs will be coming after their GUNS!!!

Tell the People to watch what happened and is happening in all the events surrounding the abortion issue. Tell them to watch what's happening in the States. Tell the People to watch what the Repug Governors & State Legislatures are doing to voting rights. Tell them - they gone after 'math books'. They've even gone after 'Disney'. Do you really think GUNS are sacred to them?

Then tell them this R v W is just a foreshadowing of what the Repugs are planning on doing to about their 2nd Amendment Rights.

You say you don't believe? What? Just look at how the Conservative SCOTUS candidates that ultimately were confirmed and placed on the bench - LIED - in their confirmation hearings - to the Senators and to the American People. Then say - read the leaked SCOTUS opinion that Alito wrote. Read between the lines.

It's coming People. They are lying to you if they tell you that you have a right to bear arms. They're ultimately planning on coming to take your guns away.

What was that they said about 'precedent'?

And all the time - they said it would be the Dems. This is the 'BIG LIE'.

This is how we rally the People. Flip the issue around that the Repugs are touting. For once - use their tactics against them.

Don't you think that the GUN issue is as volatile as the Abortion issue? It's time to give the Repugs a taste of their own medicine. Put them on the defense. Let them deny that this is their plan - and then show clips of how they lied about Roe v Wade. Hell - even Susan Collins got taken in by them.

That the ideas some have of what people are like does not entirely comport with the reality of what people are like.

This idea only works in a world where conservative voters actually are the cartoon characters that get depicted within a partisan bubble.

This is fun, but maybe let's start reading other sources for news and information. We need workable, viable, functional solutions to our problems that involve having real, objective knowledge of how the opposition ticks. and the Supremes have recently spoken on the matter, holding that the 2nd Amendment allows for private ownership of firearms; that was a Scalia opinion so it's safe. Also, it had nothing to do with the "penumbral" right of privacy that Alito says doesn't really exist and that is the basis of Roe, Griswold and the other cases. The GOP wants more guns, not fewer.

I'm liking watching the GOP in the bag for Trump Women in my local county women facebook group have their melt downs.

One of them is bitching at me now for writing: Ain't no takesey backsey - and posting screen shots of her laughing at us about Cavanaugh.

I do agree with you, in practice and theory. I live in western NC, cawthorns red district. Dems are 40% here, and often don't have a challenger on the ballot.

This year I'm voting in the GOPQ primary, against him. I went to vote411 to see what races and candidates were on the ballot. Democratic primary here has 2 races; Senate and Congress.

But there are 9 races in GOPQ primary, 7 that are not on the democratic ticket because there are no challengers. This happens a lot, here and in other red zones.

Whoever wins 7 rethug primaries will run unopposed and win their races. In this area, their primary is often the only way to control who gets elected. I helped get rid of our former sheriff by voting for his challenger in the primary, who then ran unopposed and won.

The 7 races include a seat on board of county commissioners, the DA, NC House representative, and 4 judicial slots, including a state supreme court and 2 appeals slots.
NO Democratic challenger will be on the ballot in any of those races!!! Sometimes there are, but they get 40% and don't win. It's discouraging. Still, I think we should have candidates on the ballot.

So as an independent in NC I can and sometimes do choose to vote in local GOPQ primaries, where I have a small voice. Of course I will vote democratic in the general election.
Vote blue, no matter who! But there will be 7 local races that won't offer me that option.

In the 7th District of NJ - very red, very wealthy.

We flipped our county seat blue in 2019 (statewide races) - my borough. We flipped the 7th seat to Malinowski in 2018. We overlap the 16th State - and that is 2 D Assembly Members, and 1 D State Senator. We keep trying to get Commissioners (county), Clerks, Sheriff.

Two Commissioners Seats and one Sheriff Seat.

We had one Commissioner Seat still open at our County Convention.

We are writing one in.
We did this effectively for the school board.

Since you have flipped to GOP to be a spoiler it can't be you in the Primary . . .

But you could create a write in Campaign. Might go nowhere - but the scare the SHIT out of Republicans.
