You know, we can't be certain, but it seems to me that NOBODY wanted to invade Russia, and that Russia is throwing a tantrum because it wants to posture like the neighborhood bully it has become. What, not enough attention? Nobody profits from reunification of past territories into the former USSR. All those countries are happy unto themselves, living life.
If it weren't for Russia, we could concentrate on climate change, stabilizing food distribution, and other general concerns. But, nooo, we have to fight a war over....what? Russia wanting to control the Black and Azov Seas?
I think it probably IS time for the US to just casually warn Russia that hanky panky at the Finnish border will not be tolerated. Just a suggestion. A cordial warning that we have their backs.
