Because they believe they are now the majority. They have the power. You are the enemy if you do not believe the way they believe. They do not want a discussion or a dialogue. They want revenge.

Violence is not only accepted, it is encouraged. They are told that their guns are sacred, protected by the Constitution. In their eyes, even the Constitution supports their hatred. So it is OK to kill that with which we disagree?

Some people are that weak-minded. Their darker angels shadow their thoughts. The true evil lies with those that encourage such thoughts.

Let us pledge to non-violence.

You are so right that these poisons, in particular, racism, are TAUGHT.

They take advantage of the lower levels of our nature, perhaps more necessary when there were saber-tooth tigers to contend with, but we have all possibilities. Exploiters use them for their own advantage, and for both parties, there is a tendency to "project" one's weaknesses and flaws onto others, ESPECIALLY those implanted and drummed into minds relentlessly.

I wonder if this completely insane notion of "replacement" needs to be addresses head-on. It's just fear mpngering racism and fear in other words. And repub "think tanks" put the same notion in twenty dollar words and believe that the idea can be sold universally. "Cuz it's so intellectual"

But in the "real world" of right now, all I can suggest is to be in the driver's seat.

Protesting against racist power and succeeding can never be mistaken for seizing power. Any effective solution to eradicating American racism must involve Americans committed to antiracist policies seizing and maintaining power over institutions, neighborhoods, counties, states, nations—the world. It makes no sense to sit back and put the future in the hands of people committed to racist policies, or people who regularly sail with the wind of self-interest, toward racism today, toward antiracism tomorrow. An antiracist America can only be guaranteed if principled antiracists are in power, and then antiracist policies become the law of the land, and then antiracist ideas become the common sense of the people, and then the antiracist common sense of the people holds those antiracist leaders and policies accountable.
