(10,100 posts)Well, here's their chance to stand up to the government tyrants who want to force American women to give birth. Doesn't get more tyrannical than that.

(3,687 posts)The doctor has the know-how, skill, and tools to do what some people call murder.
The doctor may not, at this time, be aborting life.
The gun owner has the tool, perhaps not the skill or know-how, to do similar.
The function of the gun is to abort life.

(3,169 posts)Now its up to us to enact it if we have the will.
I despise all the people here who put others off by saying it wont happen. Obama won on hope and action. Well never win with anything less. Take your naysaying elsewhere, please.

(36,248 posts)MLK and Gandhi each made a difference because they dedicated their lives to their cause and risked everything.
I'd be very interested if you'd keep me informed on your daily efforts to do what the OP said. Just send a quick PM.
Looking fwd to reading about your progress and I wish you the best of luck!
If you aren't going to bother, let me know that too. I won't think less of you if you don't even try.

(3,169 posts)Unless I put in daily effort I will have failed. Thats your standard. I choose my level of effort and I would never say that daily was not enough, thats often how people get discouraged enough never to start. As we all know a constant level of effort by many people working together is what it takes. So I pass on the ridiculous additional effort to validate my work.

(36,248 posts)One can tell how a person actually feels about an issue by the amount of effort they put in dealing with it.
Gandhi and MLK were jailed and ultimately lost their lives. Cindy Sheehan gave up her marriage, friends and job to fight for what she believed in .
How much effort you put in to it and how much you are willing to risk will tell me how much you actually care. If you put in little effort, then the issue is of little importance to you.
What would you think if I had told you that gardening is a very important part of my life and I love it and then find out I don't have a garden and never did have one? Or that what I call a garden is just a plot of weeds that I rarely do anything with? You'd rightly think I was just a bullshit artist.

(24,238 posts)That would make California the easiest state to buy a gun in.

(38,302 posts)We could put castration clinics next door to every gun shop.
Testosterone and other steroidal androgens levels would be checked before every gun purchase, and randomly in the field as well, at shooting ranges, by game wardens, etc..
These same rules would apply to police and other law enforcement officers.
Whenever people with testicles were caught handling guns we would immediately castrate them, and ban them from owning or handling guns ever after.
