Trump shares CPAC Hungary platform with notorious racist and antisemite

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2022/may/21/trump-shares-cpac-hungary-platform-racist-antisemite

A notorious Hungarian racist who has called Jews “stinking excrement”, referred to Roma as “animals” and used racial epithets to describe Black people, was a featured speaker at a major gathering of US Republicans in Budapest.

Zsolt Bayer took the stage at the second day of the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) Hungary, a convention that also featured speeches from Donald Trump, Fox News host Tucker Carlson, and Trump’s former White House chief of staff, Mark Meadows.

The last featured speaker of the conference was Jack Posobiec, a far-right US blogger who has used antisemitic symbols and promoted the fabricated “Pizzagate” conspiracy theory smearing prominent Democrats as pedophiles.

Bayer, a television talkshow host in Hungary, has been widely denounced for his racism. During the 2020 Black Lives Matter protests, he wrote on his blog: “Is this the future? Kissing the dirty boots of fucking [racist epithet] and smiling at them? Being happy about this? Because otherwise they’ll kill you or beat you up?”

the guy is a despot, a dictator, and the GOP should not in any way be emulating him.

Just amazing.

4. I am out of words for these creatures.

They've lost all their humanity. What's left? Empty shells shaped like humans that money is shoveled into. Devoid of love, honor, compassion, honesty... Truly shadows of man. They're creatures who devour everything In their path, and leave a wake of upheaval, hatred, and gluttony.

Those millions of republicans want an authoritarian gov't but they mistakenly think they will be the few thousand elites actually in charge.

Those millions are useful tools for those who will actually be in charge.

One poster called it a 'new social feudalism age'.
-----------------------
Same/same for those who want our country to be Christian run.

When a theocracy takes over America, which church (Christian of course) will be in charge?
Will the others accept their rule?
Many Catholics/Protestants consider the other to be false Christians.
Would they accept Mormons as the rulers?
Westboro Baptist Church?
The new rulers will be political Christians rather than Christians of faith.

We have plenty of people who want to be the Christian Ayatollah of America.

They think squandering their money on those stupid flags and those fucking hats will grant them entry into the inner sanctum - but in reality it just makes them easier to spot for the suckers they are.

8. More Trump and his "very fine people"...

The Trumpists are Nazis, and the mainstream GOP is content to be fascist-adjacent...for now.

If we don't at least hold the House in November, preventing this country from completely sliding into the Fourth Reich really becomes an uphill battle.

Because Americans who carry the "Conservative" banner today are much closer to FASCIST.

15. Remember when people didn't dare say such racist things on a public stage?
Sun May 22, 2022, 08:27 AM

And if they did, they were shamed into obscurity forever?

How can we ever get the world to value decency again?

I mean, I hear about these top people spewing this racist shit and all I can think of is Hitler and Nazi Germany. That sort of public selling of hate (I refuse to call it populism because that is too benign a word) gathers followers who will do things like shoot up a grocery store full of black people. We're on a fast track to everything the Nazis stood for, and if you think that's hyperbole, please wake up.
