Exactly what would you recommend that President Biden do to turn his negatives

around? Just read his approval rating was at 39. That means lots of Democrats have fled. I don't think "trust him" , "trust them" will cut it right now, do you?

1. Harp on union building all the time. Have three messages and repeat, repeat,

repeat the 3 ideas. 1) unions 2) Republicans plant to sunset ss and Medicare 3) womens' health and access to abortion.

Just a stab but Neil Degrass Tyson did a talk on the three types of reality: personal, political and objective. Political reality can be a cult or approach objective reality. The key is to repeat, repeat, repeat. Don't worry about boring the well educated. They are voting for Democrats anyhow.

they will ruin your life, they will take America back to the stone age. If you are moderately happy with your life now, it will change for the worse.

Shrub flew around the country w/the proposal to fund SS using the stock market/equities. The seniors shut him down.

And regularly point out that he has had to build the executive branch up from the criminal intentional destruction of our federal government by that party.

Stop worrying about being defensive and go offensive.

We are so damned lucky to have Biden as President and the incredible talent that he has brought with him.

We must attack them and with ferocity.

I wish he could do something about Blackrock and other corporations buying up homes so young people can no longer afford to buy. They are also buying up apartments and rents are all up $100 to $200 dollars for my family and friends. Our NM gov just gave everyone an Economic Relief Payment - $250 in May and $250 again in August. He might do something like that.

No one should be allowed to own more than 100 rental units.
Because for lower middle class and poor people apartment rental is a necessity.
Blackrock owning 100,000 rental units is approaching monopoly.

31. The forces that control much of his favorability are mostly out of his hands

That being the economy: inflation and a potential economic slowdown as the Fed fights inflation, and interest rates rise. Key events that could help would be 1) Russia giving up its war in Ukraine, which could lead to an end to sanctions and lowered oil prices, 2) China giving up their zero Covid tolerance which could help end the supply chain dysfunction, and 3) Fed succeeds in controlling inflation by selling bonds, raising interest rates and slowing the economy to a soft landing.

And, what happened to the old practice of periodic presidential statements on network TV like Ike, JFK and LBJ used to do?

I would also invade radio stations with PSAs purely as informative statements on healthcare, the economy, etc.

President Biden's easy, quiet demeanor does not lend itself to showman entertainment spots like Americans now prefer. So, we need to change the way we get their attention.

38. If it's still 39% in the fall then I'll panic

A lot can happen between now and November.

Biden is getting crucified because of a lot of factors that are completely out of his control: inflation, gas prices, the war in Ukraine, Republican extremism, Manchin/Sinema, right wing media, etc...

If this administration's luck finally changes our chances of keeping Congress in the mid-terms will vastly improve.
People vote according to their wallets. As long as prices are high Democrats are going to get all the blame. And many Americans polled still have the delusional idea that Republicans are better at handling the economy.

The Biden camp does need to continue to point out exactly what Americans will get if they vote Republicans back in power. And beat that message like a drum. The "both parties are the same" crowd needs a wake up call.

40. MESSAGE CRAFTING AND MESSAGE DISCIPLINE

Sorry for screaming.

This week, we heard that DNC was considering hiring someone new to manage messaging and there was screaming throughout the social media. I've forgotten who it was, under consideration, but not someone thought of as particularly skilled.

From the era of Karl Rove, Republicans have excelled at getting the daily message delivered to anyone who might be in front of a mic, and hammering it home.

Karl Rove: "Seize the daily news narrative by 5 p.m. each day."

Bannon: "Flood the Zone with sh*t."

That strategy works. The press follows the crumbs, thankful for the quotes and stories.

Dem messaging is all over the place. Schiff is skilled at it. So is Lieu. But not many others. And there is no apparent coordinated effort to pound a principle home.

AND......none of the messaging appears to be hitting Republicans on CORRUPTION, on CRIMES, on the soft spots.

Most of it seems to be of the "Look forward, not back" tone.

43. You're a screamer! Lol. Agree on the people who

get messages out - but in my mind, just agreeing with all of us doesn't cut it. Kinda reminds me of Rob Reiner... Good Dem, but posting "I can't believe they did this I can't believe they did that" for almost 6 years now? But never saw, "Okay, I am organizing a group of 50 actors who are willing to donate x amount of money and we will have creative generic ads running on CNN once a week." You know something like that - something that is an action vs. just complaining like we all do.

It's going to take a true expert. Brilliant and aware and savvy. But even better a brain trust of people.

Honestly I don't really understand why no one has figured that out especially in the trump era. The guy who was impeached twice, tried to overthrow the government, tried to bribe a foreign government for personal gain, paid off a girlfriend, and was a proven criminal for withholding valuable health information to the public is tied with our great guy?!!!!?!???? Okay so I am sounding like Rob Reiner

42. We have lots of blame to throw around, but we forget...

that things like the media are SUPPOSED to attack the powers-that be. it is their fundamental function. In a democracy, we are supposed to have the brains to figure truth from bullshit. Plato had a lot to say about that, and he was not very encouraging.

I heard that Presidents were customarily limited to two terms because Washington was upset about all the trashing he got and refused to go through the crap he would have had to if he went for a third term.

Hearst's "news" operation almost singlehandedly got us into the Spanish-American war.

After dealing with Stalin, FDR, Montgomery other egos while fighting Germany. Ike developed some extraordinary skills to head off the attacks from all sides, and maintain a relatively successful Presidency. Having Cronkite at the time helped more than we know.

I have found that Democrats spend an awful lot of time in he circular shootouts and too often don't set sights on the real targets, depending upon demographics and other sideshows to get votes. And a lot of them seem to miss the surety of the Dixiecrats and big city corruption.

We forget that the voting population is essentially selfish, and votes for goodies for itself, as much as anything else. We have to find a way to sell our programs to that selfish population.

52. I think he needs to make a national address about

what the administration is doing to combat inflation---

and also detail every vote where Republicans voted against the interests of the country, on the economy and elsewhere...

And baby formula shortage-- how Democrats advanced a bill to try to solve that problem, but many Republicans voted against it-- after blaming President Biden for the problem, they seek to prevent any solution---- because what GQP really wants, is for this country to suffer, until they can take power again... and they will not have any solutions at that point, either, they only want to have power over all of us, to exert their far-right social agenda!

The GQP only care about "babies" until their birth is "forced", and after that, they don't give a damn! The GQP has LONG been in favor of starving children-- because 'starving children' are unlikely to vote for Republicans-- if they are fortunate enough to survive childhood to voting age!

Many Democrats may be voting "disapproval" because we have been unable to do many of the things that we had hoped to do-- because of the way the government is structured, i.e. "the filibuster"--- but that does not mean they are ready to vote for Trumpists or fascists, who offer no solutions whatsoever....

We need to hammer on these issues, and hammer on Republicans as politcians who do not care about your problems...
