a strike team?
Seems to me we ought to have a group of our top 25 badasses - Ryan, Jeffries, AOC, Booker, Fetterman, Mikie Sherrill, Warren, Psaki - to fan out every time a lie or misinformation is spewed to just shut it down and be relentless.
Like they do.
One idea for midterms.

(4,298 posts)Every lie the GOP told was quickly followed by an array of Clinton team giving a lesson on whatever lie was told...economy, civil rights, white water, taxes, deficit etc.

1. Long term strategy. (Know your message.)
2. Know your Frame for your message. (Avoid your opponent's. Take CONTROL of yours.)
3. Stop being so nice. (It does not work.)
4. Throw a punch. (Speak the truth convincingly.)
Just thought I would share.

(16,704 posts)Being a Delegate to the State Convention for the 4th time, I am getting the hang of what it means to message. We must be passionate about the candidates we support in order to convince people as to why they need to VOTE this November and in their respective Primaries.

(4,301 posts)to get as much of our base to vote as possible... This election in particular, is no time for "calm"....
If the Republicans win the majority of the House, they would be able to prevent a Democratic victory in the presidential election from being accepted-- and thus throw the issue into the House, where they now have, and likely will still have, a majority of state house delegations--- and could thus install their choice for president, regardless of the popular votes in their own state...
I do admire both the politcians you name, but "calm and rational" does not seem to get us anywhere, these days...

(4,301 posts)Except we so seldom lie, they don't need such a team! They only need a team to dispute the truths that we tell about them!
But I agree with you in principle.
