They are certainly simpatico. They both want a return to what they see as the halcyon days of the USSR and post-WWII America.
Minorities in the U.S. knew their place and were meant to serve wealthy whites or work in menial service jobs. They were mainly quartered in inner-city ghettos with little hope of ever escaping the forced poverty and hopelessness. Higher education and prosperity were only dreams for most minorities, and white males made damned sure it remained that way.
Women knew their place; barefoot, pregnant and in the kitchen, providing their husbands with all the comforts of hearth and home. They alone were responsible for child rearing while the men joined various fraternal clubs which kept them out of the home (and for many, on the prowl) and it's responsibilities.
I'm not certain why Russians would see these as post-WWII halcyon days in the USSR. There were always shortages of food, clothing and household goods. The government spent all the USSR's money on the space and arms race with the U.S. The U.S. out-spent them (on credit) and that was a major cause of the USSR collapsing under its own weight.
These are only a few of the "wonderful" things they see as the "good old days". 
White men were large and in charge of everything, and that's the way they want it again. Minorities and women need not apply.
It's impossible to turn back time, but republicans refuse to live in the real world. They either have to change or perish, and if they're in power that means the entire country and everyone in it will perish as well.
SO? There are NO POC in Russia? If the answer to that is yes, then why are you invading another country to rid IT of POC. White Supremacy is so fucked up.
