The 2A, as interpreted by THIS SCOTUS... means the right for individuals to keep and bear arms and language from Heller about "common usage" probably even protects assault weapons.

I don't have an answer... all the people calling for "action" don't have the answer either.

18. Did you read that declaration?

First, itcites very specific statutes. Second, the action it ordered to be taken was the waiver of some requirements of the Medicare, Medicaid, and State Children’s Health Insurance programs.

How is that remotely a precedent for the types of actions being proposed in this thread?

None of us do, WG, at least ones that could pass and be enforced and actually put things back on a course for semi normality.

A constitutional amendment will never occur in regards to repealing the 2nd Amendment.

The only path I can think of wherein we will see something profoundly concrete and impactful done is if the Union breaks up and the currently Blue states' new national constitution specifically deals with the nightmare.

Even if we somehow took over the SCOTUS, and they allowed all sorts of hardcore restrictions and bans to stand on a national level, the Red States will openly disobey, the same as the Blue States will openly disobey if a national ban on abortion is passed.

Either example is a prime path as to how the Union starts to break up. Let's say it was a national abortion ban (meaning the Rethusg are in tripartite federal control). The Blue states instantly say, NO, we do not submit. Then the Rethugs have 2 main choices, both of which leads to a starting of a breakup of the Union.

They either attempt to send in troops and enforce the bans at gunpoint (or attempt some psychotic, ruinous 'sanctions regime') and chaos endues, with the Blue states starting secession processes, OR the Rethugs in national power do nothing much, and then you will have the Red States start to ignore other major national laws that THEY dislike, and use the Blue states' actions as justification. Chaos ensues again, especially if we (Dems) get back in power and try to bring the Red Sates to heel on whatever shitbaggery they are doing in terms of ignoring federal laws.

I know you intend well, but this would be very bad. Basically it would be a dictatorship like what Putin would do. And it would be reversed the next day and wouldn't do anything. Bidens approval ratings would crater.
